At PictorFrame Ltd, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect the data you provide when using the PictorShare platform.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Depending on how you use the platform, we collect the following data:
From Hosts: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and billing address.
From Guests: You are not required to create an account to upload media. However, when you interact with an event, we collect the media you choose to upload (photos, videos, audio, text), as well as standard technical data including your IP address, browser type, and time of access.
Payment Data: Payments are processed directly by our secure partner, Stripe. We do not view or store your full credit card details.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We process your data strictly to provide the PictorShare service. This includes:
Hosting and displaying your event media to authorised guests.
Facilitating the "Live Slideshow" feature during your event.
Processing payments and sending receipt emails.
Preventing fraud, abuse, and illegal activity on the platform.
THIRD-PARTY PARTNERS & DATA HOSTING
To deliver a fast, reliable, and secure service, we utilise industry-leading third-party infrastructure. By using PictorShare, you acknowledge that your data is processed by:
DigitalOcean: All uploaded event media (photos, videos, audio) is securely hosted in DigitalOcean Spaces (Object Storage) and delivered globally via DigitalOcean's Content Delivery Network (CDN).
Stripe: Used exclusively for processing secure payments from Event Hosts.
DATA RETENTION & AUTOMATED DELETION
PictorShare is designed for temporary event sharing. We do not hold your data indefinitely.
All event media is automatically and permanently erased from our DigitalOcean storage servers at the end of the event's lifecycle (as determined by the Host's purchased plan, e.g., 30 days after the event). Once this automated deletion occurs, the data cannot be recovered.
LAW ENFORCEMENT & SAFETY
While your event galleries are private to you and your guests, we employ automated scanning and respond to user reports to enforce our Acceptable Use Policy. We will preserve and share user data (including IP addresses, timestamps, and uploaded media) with law enforcement agencies if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, investigate a crime, or protect the safety of minors or the public.
YOUR RIGHTS (UK GDPR)
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request the deletion of your data (though media deletion is already automated post-event, Hosts may delete their events early, and Guests may ask Hosts to remove specific photos).
Object to our processing of your data.
